Career-technical education is an important component of a student’s total education. The Regional Occupational Programs (ROPs) are a dynamic school-to-career delivery system for high school students and adults in California. A key to the success of the programs is the cooperation that has been given by the community and business partners.
Each SLROP program is supported by an Advisory Committee that provides individual input and collaboration. These committees are comprised of community and business representatives from program-related fields who work with SLROP staff to ensure that course curriculum meets business and industry standards and current labor market demands. Businesses provide support each year by offering their facilities as training sites.
